Gaetano Miccichè
Gaetano Miccichè is President of the Imi division of the Intesa Sanpaolo group
and Vice President of Prelios
Gaetano Miccichè was born in Palermo in 1950. He obtained his MBA degree in Law at SDA Bocconi, where he graduated with Honors in 1985. In 2008, he was recognised as the "Master of Masters". In February 1971, he began his work as the Responsible of Corporate Clientele at the Headquarters of the Cassa Centrale di Risparmio delle Province Siciliane.
In April 1989, he moves along to Rodriguez S.p.A. where he becomes Director of Finance. In November 1992 he joins the Gerolimich-Unione Manufacture as General Director. In January 1996 he is then nominated General Director of Santa Valeria S.p.A, and in October 1997 he becomes Delegated Administrator/General Director of Oclese S.p.A..
In June 2002 he enters Banca Intesa.
From February 2010 to April 2016 he became General Director of Intesa Sanpaolo, and subsequently also a member of its Board of Directors until 2016. He is also responsible for the Corporate Division and Investment Banking at Intesa Sanpaolo from January 2007 to April 2016, and Delegated Administrator of Banca IMI from October 2007 to March 2015. In April 2016 he tuns into the president of Banca IMI.
From March 2018 to November 2019 he was President of the Lega Serie A and Vice President of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation).
From August 2020 to April 2021 he was Managing Director and General Manager of Ubi Banca.
He has been Chairman of Banca IMI since April 2016 and vice-president of Prelios since March 2020.
He is also currently a member of the Board of RCS SpA, of ABI (Italian Banking Association) and also of the Scientific Committee at Politecnico di Milano.
